Hello friends,
Mom passed away on September 29th at 7:16 pm EST. I imagine I'll be scarce for a while. Again in my stead Deadpool and Onyx Tigress will take care of things and I thank everybody who's been a part of this community for being so great and welcoming new people... it's like we're all starting from the same place because it's new. So technically nobody's a newbie and I think that's why things are so harmonious... that + I have great members who are drama-free and serious about the subjects we hold so dearly here.
I'll be back because Mom wants me to be back and use my skills as a leader to watch over this place and be the best I can be on the net, and that's right here.
I love my mom dearly and always will. Amber and Heather, you remember how feisty she was. LOL
She remained that feisty right up until her last breath. Go MOM - you're with the angels now and I'm sure you've already found a bowling league up there.
When I get back we'll all have fun posting about anything and everything. Until then... as Tim Gunn says, "carry on."
Love you guys!

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. You seem strong though, and for that, I am grateful. *HUGS* She loved bowling, huh? I can see it now. Every time it thunders, I'll think of her, kicking the Gods asses with her STRIKES! WOOT!

OT Will you get out of my damn head?
I don't mean to sound like an opportunistic weasel but I do want to point a few things out. First, I lost my great grandmother a long time ago due to breast cancer. I also lost a friend recently to the same thing and she was slightly younger than me. Recently, when we lost Mom, that was a huge wakeup call.
I know many of us usually feel helpless or just don't know what to do when it comes to The Plague of The 21st Century but let me share a few suggestions.
First, donatations to organizations like The American Cancer Society are greatly appreciated but for those who like to make shopping pay off OtterBox.com offers a line of cases in pink for iPods and the like and all proceeds go toward battling breast cancer. Lance Armstrong's foundation teamed with RadioShack to offer the LiveStrong wristbands which you can pick up for one, flat American Dollar and all proceeds go toward helping those diagnosed with cancer. I chose the latter of the three because I wouldn't be caught dead carrying an iPod or iPhone in a pink case and secondly, LiveStrong doesn't just target one type of cancer or another.
Those are but three suggestions. Remember, don't hold back because you can only do a little, that little bit you do might be the little bit that's needed.

Dear Misty, So sorry about the passing of your Mom. She is truly with the Angels now and if you were my daughter I'd be proud of you for your strength. She is looking over you and feeling proud right now. She will not feel pain anymore.
I have been offline because of my Mom's surgery last week and my Father inlaw passed away last night at 7:06pm from a massive heart attack. We have been with family all week.
I imagine your Mom and my Father inlaw are probably organizing a bowling league up there as we speak. Both no longer in pain.
BIG HUGS AND LOVE

I have been worried about you mom and that you have been through so much and now you have been hit even harder. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your brother for your mom and your husband for his father. Sometimes there just are no words.

MOM: June 30, 1931 - September 29, 2009 www.youtube.com/watch?v=faKFcfytlxUWhen I am down and, oh my soul, so weary; When troubles come and my heart burdened be; Then, I am still and wait here in the silence, Until you come and sit awhile with me. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains; You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas; I am strong, when I am on your shoulders; You raise me up: To more than I can be. There is no life - no life without its hunger; Each restless heart beats so imperfectly; But when you come and I am filled with wonder, Sometimes, I think I glimpse eternity.

That is such a beautiful video, and an absolutely delightful song. I must say, Mist, you have your mom's looks. Her smile, her nose, even her cheeks. She'll be with you always. (((HUGS)))

Just stopped in for my sanity check. I miss you guys and hope all is well with you. I can't seem to stop shaking from all the stuff that's happened. Everyday is a little easier, the services are Friday so after that things will be easier. I read Psalms today and the shaking stopped, imagine that.
Hugs to all.
